Description

Dickey Betts and Sandy Blue Sky’s wedding day on Saturday April 14, 1973. The couple chose me as their wedding photographer. Stanley Smith, the Indian medicine man who married the couple, had actually made the dress Sandy wore years earlier and told them to purchase it in a Tulsa, Oklahoma antique shop. The dress had been sitting in the front window since the 1930’s. Dickey’s attire was typical Plains style Sioux Indian. (page 30-C)
